A private university in Daejeon, opened in 1995 on an educational foundation established in 1954. It enrols about 5,300 students, founded its Nursing Science Department in 2009, and runs three international schools taught entirely in English.
Woosong University is in Jayang-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon. The Woosong Educational Foundation dates from 1954 and the university itself opened on 8 March 1995. It currently enrols about 5,349 students — 5,164 undergraduates and 135 postgraduates.
Teaching is organised into schools of Design and Information, Health and Welfare, International Studies, Railroad Transportation, Tourism and Culinary Management, and Business. The Nursing Science Department was established in 2009 and the Sol Hospital simulation facility opened in 2011.
A four-year Nursing and Elderly Care programme, requiring TOPIK level 3.
Three international schools taught entirely in English: SolBridge International School of Business, Sol International School (2014) and Endicott College (2016).
